About Ayşe Öktem
Ayşe Öktem is the General Manager of Borusan Oto İstinye; a branch of BMW, MINI, Land Rover and Aston Martin distributor Borusan Otomotiv.
In 1975, she graduated from Istanbul University with a major in Business Administration. Her career started in dealer accounts responsible in Motorlu Araçlar A.Ş /International Harvester Turkey Distributer. Her various roles thereafter included parts stock control chief at Motorlu Araçlar A.Ş /International Harvester Turkey and parts stock control chief, BMW Parts Manager, BMW Marketing Manager, Land Rover Retail and Wholesale Manager Land Rover Sales and After-sales Manager at Borusan Oto / Otomotiv. She has spent 10 years in various management positions at Borusan Oto / Otomotiv, before becoming the General Manager Borusan Oto İstinye in 2001. She worked as part-time Black Belt Project Manager for 3 ‘’ Sales Process Optimization’’, ‘’Being Benchmark Face-to-Face Contact with The Customer’’ and ‘’Optimization of Tire Purchasing Process’’at Borusan Otomotive. She has led more than 50 sales and after-sales projects that carried out with the 6 Sigma method. Ayse won ’The Most Customer Oriented Service in 2010’’ and ‘’ The Best Sales Performed Dealer in 2010’’ awards among BMW network in Turkey. In 2011, she participated at the third BMW Group’s Excellence in Sales competition with 1200 dealers from 30 different countries in six continents. She won the ‘Manager of the Year’ award.
