The Harkonnen is a spirit forward cocktail that uses two base spirits. It was created by Chris Keil at Hilltop Kitchen in Tacoma, WA and is part of our Industry Series. It is an easy cocktail to make with a nice range of flavors.
1oz Zaya rum
1oz Del Maguey VIDA mezcal
1 bar spoon rich demerara syrup with smoked salt
To make the smoked salt demerara syrup:
Make a rich demerara syrup and add smoked salt.
Use a good pinch in about 4oz of syrup.
Add the rum, mezcal, and syrup to a large rocks glass. Add a large ice cube and then stir to mix and chill. Garnish with a pinch of smoked salt over the ice cube.
